thing has been in my tank since day one just never bothered to take it out . Just wondering what it is it comes out further some days but never longer then a 1/4 inch

I thought it looked like a zoo too but I had that rock flipped over for a couple months and it didn't die ??

Did you have flipped to an area where it was still exposed. That would explain it.
