Need help finding the right PCV fitting

Long story short, I got a red sea reefer 350 off someone locally, and they included the hard plumbing. On the end of the return PVC section is what appears to be a union screw top which he had on a Reef Octopus varios 6. I have a varios 2, and it doesn't fit. Is there any type of adapter out there that can connect this piece to my varios 2? I can provide pics to better illustrate this if I was hard to follow, when I return tomorrow.

Yes - Take the fitting if you can to home depot or by this and cut off old part and fuse this in:

NDS Schedule 40 3/4 In. Slip X 3/4 In. Dia. Slip PVC Union threaded or non-threaded:

The real problem is that there is no standard with unions, each mfg. is slightly different so they are not interchangeable. Better to get a new one.
