Just found this in my 28 gallon Nano. It's orange with white leg looking things. Anyone know what it is and if so, is it harmful?
TIA

Bristle worm. Don't touch it with your bare hands. They aren't bad but they look like the X Files. Needless to say I have zero in my tank.

I used to have them in my last system. My new system was dry rock and dip everything because of how much I hated seeing those. Especially before going to bed. They are not of this world.

I take it you're not a fan of the bobbit worm :D

I will never encounter such an unholy presence in my sanctuary. Bayer Bayer Bayer......aaaaaand Bayer! I've exercised so many demons from my frags using the stuff I'm confident that my system is sterile and will never host anything that I did not intend to survive the process. To the deepest, darkest reaches of Hades with them. But seriously my CUC is all I need so no thank you to the unwelcome guests.

Bristle worms aren't always a bad thing, actually many times they are actually good as they will clean up extra food the rest of your critters missed. A lot of people get rid of them because they creep them out but they are really useful especially in smaller tanks

Another +1 for KEEPING the bristle worm. Great clean up crew and I rarely see them with the tank lights on. I do wear gloves if messing around deep within rockwork/sand, though.
