Need help on sump

Hey all I am looking to build a 40 gal sump. I want to use a refugium so with all this triton talk, does it matter where you put the chaeto even if NOT doing triton?

I guess my question is can you do triton if chaeto is in after the skimmer?

What is this "triton talk" you speak of?

Most (simple) conventional sump systems flow like this: Overflow from DT > Skimmer/Utility Chamber > Refugium (with macro algae) > Return Pumps

So, I guess the answer is yes, this is a common place to put the macro algae...

as long as there is room for the cheato to grow i don t think it will make much of a difference
