Need help with this quick!! Putting the new tank in place in several hours. Being afraid of the stand being unlevel whats the best way to level it?

I read that you aren't supposed to put styrofoam directly under a braced tank... But what about a layer of styrofoam then a layer of plywood then the tank.

Or how do you go about leveling a stand?

The tank is a 120 gallon braced Marineland on a manufactured stand.

I believe it was about a 1/4 of an inch off last time around, higher on left side versus right.

Well. Level the stand then place tank on. If the stand has adjustable feet use that if not you can cut a 2x4 and make shims. You can also use composite shims making sure over lap pushing two together, one from each side kind of like a hand shake lol. Use a 4' level if you can or larger on top of the stand. Use it from side to side. Front to back and corner to corner. Do this where the tank stand is to sit. Level it and your tank will be good to go. A layer of plywood is good on a metal stand but not necessary.

Unfortunately I moved to tallahassee for college but thanks for the offer Joe! Just trying to make sure this tank doesn't fail too!

I put mine on tile and used some self leveling tabs I bought at home depot. The tile surface was uneven just a bit in spots. It worked good.
