So I have no clue fish wise what to put in the tank! All I want for sure is a kole tang. Any ideas as to what I could put in the tanks? Thank you!
Happy reefing!

Also want to add must reefsafe And peaceful I had my predator phase and I'm done with them! Thank you!
Happy reefing!

You could check out liveaquaria. You can filter by tank size, fish size, beginner etc. it also lists for each fish the recommended gallonage, max adult size, recommended feeding, aggression level. That will help you get a feel for what kind of fish would be good for your tank. You can also look at the sticky thread under "new to saltwater" called need help choosing your fish. Browse through that thread and I'm sure you'll see others who have asked about your tank size.

Wrasses man. Wrasses! A 65 will be able to accommodate most Cirrhilabrus(Fairy) and all Paracheilinus(Flasher) Wrasses. I would highly recommend getting a Mccosker's or Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse, to really get your feet under you with quarantining and caring for a Wrasse. After that, you're pretty much set. They're reef safe, and gorgeous! Another fish I would highly recommend for your tank is a Goby or Blenny of some sort. My personal favorites are the Yellow Watchman Goby, and the Midas Blenny. Both are brightly colored, and have fantastic personalities. I wouldn't really get a Tang in your size tank, but if you really want one, a Bristletooth would be okay. If you want a showstopper Bristletooth, get a White Tail Bristletooth Tang(Ctenochaetus flavicauda). Those are gorgeous!
Also, forgot to link this: http://www.reefedition.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/chart.png
It's a fantastic chart made by one of the mods here, it's really helpful when choosing a Fairy Wrasse.

how many wrasses can I have? and I really want a kole tang but I cant have any fish over 100$ until the tank is a year old! my dads rule! only 10 months to go! lol and before any wrasses go in the tank I need to make a mesh lid cuz right now its open top!

and my dad has a wrasse in the 45! we qt ed it! but I need pretty hardy fish cuz this coming school year I'm gonna be very busy and wont have time to devote more time with the added care other more exciting fish will need as with corals!

Looks like your dad knows what he's talking about. Take it slow, nothing good in reefing ever happens fast. There really isn't a numeric "limit" to fish, but it's really easy to tell when a tank is overstocked. A Kole Tang would most likely do fine, but be sure to add it last in your stock list, because hopefully that'll be the most aggressive fish. Kole Tangs also should not be $100, but it certainly depends where you live. We currently have them in stock, if you're interested, send me a PM. A mesh screen top will do great, I have one over my reef. Here's a link to our Kole Tang Page: https://www.amongthereef.com/fish/tangs/kole-yellow-eye-tang-ctenochaetus-strigosus/

I had a kole tang before but it past my dad scared it and jumped out the tank! that happened not to long ago! its $30 here in texas! and so would a few of flasher wrasses do ok? like 3 carpenter wrasses?

Don't get multiples of the same species of wrasse. You can get 3 flasher wrasses, just not 3 carpenters. Also for a 65g I would only recommend the smaller fairy wrasse species, such as lubbocki, rubeus, the lunatus complex, and rhomboidalis.

Other good choices for a 65g include a flame or longnose hawkfish, a starry or algae blenny, a watchman/pistol pr.

Some things to consider: Bengai cardinals, fire fish, most blennies and gobies, flasher wrasse, fairy wrasse, blue green chromis, blennies and yellow headed jawfish. Try to go with peaceful, Reef safe, and easy to keep.

You have lots of options for fish in a 65. I have a possum wrasse, Randall goby pistol pair, blue flasher wrasse, mandarin, barnacle blenny, leopard wrasse, & a potters angel.

My mandarin eats frozen but I do add pods or docs eco matter every few months to make sure there is always enough for him to eat. I'm pushing it with the leopard in a 65 & he will be in a bigger tank next year when I move.
