I inherited this "Environmental Products" RO unit. I am not sure of a model number or how many gallons a day this unit is suppose to produce. It has a 1/3hp booster pump and the RO membrane is 2 1/2"x24"
If I had to guess, it's been sitting unused since the late 1990's. My Dad had approximately 5000 gallons of Discus back then.
Now the issues. I replaced the filter element and cleaned up the motor and pump - it runs. There are two lines coming out of the RO membrane a black plastic line and a braided stainless hose that goes to a regulator. The pressure gauge appears to be damaged and the needle is pegged. I only get water out of the black (waste?) plastic line and nothing out of the regulated line. It does appear the RO piece comes apart by removing pins in the ends.
Is there some way to clean it? Where could I buy a proper replacement if that's what is needed? Can someone give me an overview of proper use and maintenance.
Thanks
