Heya guys. Been a while but Im back! So here are some updated pictures of my systems. Im having a problem in my horseshoe crab tank. I started getting a bloom of green algae. Like super green. I have one mangrove and Im adapting moneywort to live in the system. Cherry shrimp only survive to 1.010...sadly mine were lost as well as my other plants who slowly died. My tank is a higher salinity than other brackish and this is causing me difficulties Does anyone know of any plants or plantlike macroalgae that can survive in 1.015-1.020 salinity. Its half seawater. Horseshoe crabs live in estuaries and deeper sea sometimes so I try to mimic that but I want more plants to cut down on nitrates. I wont change my water for a few months cause I run a carbon cartage in the filter but if I can remove the nitrates I can keep my water longer or indefinitely and plants do this. As you can see by this tank, I haven't changed the water or fed anything in over a year now. Its a completely sustained ecosystem and all I do is top off water. I had a nice population of shrimp but my dinosaur eel ate them all....I know hes gonna get big but I have plans for him later. Gonna make a turtle tank pond that he can live in with my turtles.

I plan on linking all my freshwater tanks together so the planted tank can act lile a super bio filter and suck nitrates from the water. Gonna make a second tank for hydroponic herbals to draw out more nutes.
