I have a 55 gal tank with a small alantic blue tang and a sailfin tang and clown fish and a cleaner shrimp, everything has been doing good for 2 weeks now and look this morning and something is nipping the sailfins tail off dont know what is doing it but do you think its the other tang doing it

Most likely is one tang nipping at the other.

It could be... Thats a lot of tangs in such a small aquarium. They says you need 125 plus for tangs. If you must keep a tang in there I would definitely just do one. good luck !

It could be tang agression bc a 55g is too small for those guys. Ragged fins can also indicate diseases like fin rot or flukes. If you dont see one tang harassing the other, it may be fin rot. Either way, I would rehome the tangs and get fish more suitable for a 55.
