I have fixed new flow sensor 1 inch before UV suction with arrow down direction but it gives 0 value.

flow sensor cable fixed to port #4 in FMM module.

any advice?

Three thoughts:
1. Did you configure the FMM port for the correct size flow sensor?
2. Is the cable firmly plugged in? Sometimes it can look like it's all the way in, put one last push clicks it into place.
3. Is the sensor installed with the arrow pointing in the correct direction of water flow through the pipe?

1. yes.
2. yes.
3. yes.

Does the paddle wheel inside the sensor turn freely? These to clog quite easily - though that shouldn't be a problem with a new sensor.

yeah it's brand new sensor but again maybe it's not moving due to manufacturer error. let me open plumping, check and come back to you.

Just blow in one end and you should hear the paddle spinning/whirring.

please check attached video and advise. I don't see any problems with turbine. it's turning smoothly

Yup, that sucker is spinning. May have to reach out to Neptune support.

if turbine is moving then maybe the flow sensor cable or the FMM port is defective. but I tried port 3 and 4 not working. I think the flow sensor cable is defective.

I already emailed them and sent them video.

You could take the cover off the electronics on the sensor just to see if there are any broken or disconnected wires.

i can do this while it's fixed right? no need to dismantle, only open cover?

Unfortunately one set of screws that open the cover and the paddle chamber. You have to take the sensor out of the line.

the neptune dealer told me to not open it so I don't lose warranty. i will return it back and hopefully they will give a warranty replacement.

I deleted FMM from apex. disconnect all FMM connections (ATK + Flow Sensor). install again the ATK and flow sensor connections as per program steps and now flow is reading. Flow was much higher 800 G/H than UV requirements which will damage it, so I reduce it by valve to 500. thank you all for help

I have both a 1" and 1/4" flow sensor and I found out that if you don't have a constant movement of fluid going through it for over a minute then it does not record it on the graph. Sure it will show you how much GPH moment of it running but if you didn't catch it at that time you wouldn't think it was working. This might not be directly related, just something I found out.
