I would like to start a new tank with just clowns and other fish. A few of each kind I like. Clarkii , Skunk, Perculas. And it would be a reef tank. What would be the smallest tank for the mix of clowns. If I can mix them. Or the best size tank. I am looking in to a 45 gal bow front. Or a 75 gal.

Personally, I would stick with just one species of clown, and have only 2 of them (( or just one if you don't want them to pair up and perhaps spawn -- spawning can/will make a pair of clowns more aggressive )).

Have had all of the species at one time or another (( both orange and pink skunks, A. sandaracinos and A. perideraion )), I couldn't see mixing any of them with another species.

If you go with Clarkii or either of the skunks (( single or pair )) I would suggest a 75. With a single or pair of percs you could get away with a 45.

Agree with above comments. I have seen a trio work but it's not the norm and 2 or more pairs in a larger tank only (75 would be too small Imo)
