Personally I would loose the bio balls and make the refugium larger.

This looks like a Triton style set up with the refugium before skimmer, so if you are, or ever will go that route you're set with a bigger refugium.

Agree with @chefjpaul on the bio balls. The bio balls only cause problem later on with trapped nutrients. Pulling the bio ball leaves youself room for a large skimmer foot print

it is 6ft long 15inch width and 30 inch hight buble magus curve 7 skimmer and it is for fish only now after few month i ike to convert in to reef

I actually read your diagram backwards.

I personally only use a filter floss or socks in the drain. I am slowly switching out my sump rock for marinepure blocks.

Easier to keep clean

i started the new sump with old tank it is working great all the level are good amonia 0 nitrate o only problem is phophate are to high
