FWIW aquariums with a plastic trim like that always have an air gap between the glass and stand. The plastic trim raises the glass off the platform.

There should be no gap between the trim and stand as mentioned, however. Shim below the stand.
Yes the glass is raised off of the stand by the trim but the trim should be on a flat surface with no gaps. The trim obscures the gap between the glass and the stand top anyway. The trim should be flat on top of the stand, and the leveling should occur between the stand and floor as stated previously.
