Newbee. Standpipe help please

Seems to me like that pipe is trying to siphon then you hear the air line break it. You can see a very slight water change in the overflow box

Any idea how to stop that? I have that pump hooked up that I thought would stop that.

If I can find a slip 1" bulkhead I'll probably replace the one that came with the overflow so I can slip the standpipe straight in instead of the rigged up way I have it now.

My backup drain on my bean animal was doing that as well. It took some tweaking to finally find the sweet spot.

How exactly is that set up? Is it a pipe in a pipe?

Its half of the strainer into a 1" coupling. Then the standpipe into the coupling. Holes drilled under that 1.5" coupling then the hole on the top with the airline.

Only way I could get the standpipe into that threaded bulkhead.

So the water is draining through holes in the strand pipe? Is it a premade standpipe?

The bulkhead isn't 1" thread ?
