Newbie dosing question

Scenario here..
If on Monday my dk is at 10.4
And 7 days later on water change day its at 9.8 then day after wc I'm back to 10.4, does this mean I don't have to dose and is that swing from 10.4 to 9.8 over 7 days a concern?

Yea, it means that on smaller tanks just keep up with your water changes are usually sufficient and that you may not even need to dose at all.
