Well my main tank has been doing so well and is simply out of room for anymore corals or critters that I figured it’s time to add a small tank in my bedroom so I’m starting this build thread. It’s going to be mostly pictures as I go and hopefully it all turns out like I imagine. If I don’t respond or add much it’s because the REEF2REEF app doesn’t work on my new iPhone so I have to log in to the main website in order to do things so I apologize in advance. Well I hope to impress someone so here we go....started with a picture of my main tank (from a few weeks ago before I got a fighting conch so my sand is all white and clean now) and then a picture of the 20 gallon long tank I picked up at the 1$ per gallon sale.

Sounds like a fun build.

I also think R2R just did away with the app all together. I use safari on my phone in landscape. Works well.

Fortunately I had a bunch of black plexiglass left from my last couple builds so building this filtration setup was pretty quick and simple.

Oh yeah I coated the bottom of my tank with a thick layer of flex seal which I do to all my tanks for added security(even if it’s just mental security it helps lol) I normally coat the backs to but this tank I’m building like an all in one tank in case I decide to move it to a different stand

The stand itself was as easy as usual just trying to factor in the next steps. The top is going to be the most work of this whole project. The drawers will be fun too since I’m going to try something new lol

Now comes the part I’m not looking forward too. I couldn’t find the exact glass I wanted to do it a certain way so I’m changing directions which makes a little more work but saves me a ton of money. Next pictures/results will be a couple of weeks from now due to kindergarten/coast trip and busy season

My wife recently asked for a tank on her nightstand.
You know what they say “happy wife = happy life lol. To be honest this is just the first of 2 I think. I’m sure I’ll switch the 2nd up so the colors are opposite so it’s like his&hers nightstands and the great part is I’m single so they are both MINE! hahaha

I can’t wait until I can kick out my wife and 2 boys so I can have a tank big enough for snorkeling in. My dream...
