Within the last year I upgraded from a 30 gallon, which I had for 2 years, to a RSM 250. Everything was going great for the most part and then I started noticing that I had an issue. I originally thought it was algae. After a few days it really took over the tank. Looked just like cyano except it was brown and had bubbles. Which tells me it’s dinos. Checked my nitrate and phosphate levels and sure enough, both are at 0. I have read good and bad things about stump remover but I don’t feel like that is the route I want to go. What do you recommend I use to slightly raise my levels? TIA

I like to dose nitrate and phosphate in these cases. Either from brightwell or esv.

I had the same issue . Was a pain but over a three week period I was able to get rid of Dino numbers. I did a one day black out , turned my skimmer low so it ran all dry skim. Stop using filter sock I fed a bit more foods to my fish more meaty food. And I also did the stump remover for my nitrates and it seemed to work wonders. My phosphates was at .0 and my nitrates .0 when the dinos started I got my phosphates up to .03-.05 and nitrates to 2-4 ppm nitrates.
