Hello,
Fish tank 3 months old today.
Added 2 frostbite clowns and 5 small frags yesterday.
Tank: Cobalt C_vue 40 gallon aio
30 ish gallons, 25lb rock
Tests as of 10 minutes ago.
Salinity 1.025 Refractometer
Dkh:8.5 Hanna
Po4 2ppb = 0.006ppm Hanna ulr
No3 salifert test kit.
2 days ago:0-5ppm hard to tell
Today, 18 hours after adding fish and coral, No3 is at 25ppm.
I know there is going to be a spike because the tank is young and will have to adjust to balancing out the new inhabitants.
Do I need to worry about the moderate spike at this time being?
I dont think a water change is needed just yet, I feel like that would throw off my tank adjusting to the new bio load.
When would I need to worry about No3 and when would you advise a w/c be in order?
Thanks
