Maybe I’m just oblivious, but I feel like I’m seeing more and more about their lights.

Anyone want to educate me? I’m wondering why they seem very popular and gaining traction?

Are they cost effective on top of working well?

I haven’t seen one in person yet.

I guess I’ll go on spewtube for some research later on.

The facts are that they provide enough par to grow (some) sps on the bottom of a 30” deep tank, and are only $180 (including mount). The app is a little tedious to use, but once programmed, they are amazing.

So it’s a budget light with a lot of bang for the buck.

I just ordered one for my tank to replace a single Prime 16HD. Going to borrow a PAR meter from LFS to check my current PAR readings and match the PAR with the Noo-Psyche lights.

I agree it's a budget light with loads of power. It's weakest link is the app control. Hooking up can be a pain. If you like to tweak your lights often it's annoying, but if you're a set it and forget it type, then it's ok.

Currently running 2 of the big ones on my 75g tank. Growing SPS at the top and everything else I want to under that. I ran 2 mini's on different tanks and they grow coral well too, but my bta's were happier under an AI prime the mini. But the mini did grow a variety of other coral just fine.

One thing to note. The app can sync the big lights together, but the minis are separate even if you want them on the tank together. No option to sync them. And many people can not get 2 mini's to show up on the same device (phone or tablet), when I started this happened to me and I had to use my phone for one, and then dig out an old tablet to install the second mini. Then at some point both minis just showed up on my available list on my phone.
