A week ago I noticed some of these on one of my montis so I dipped it in Bayer (I did not check as the water was too cloudy) Today I dipped again and some came off. I saw them on 2 montis, the plating monti had a white spot that I saw getting larger and this has stopped since I dipped the first time (I thought the spot was because it was too close to the light at first). The other monti had more of these things on it but there is no damage at all. I brushed the bottom and removed the frag plugs just to make sure.

I thought it was a monti eating nudibranch but based on pictures I've seen it kind of looks like a zoa eating one but I'm thinking monti. I do have some zoas with no issues.

I plan to dip again in another week or so and can keep this up if need be until I know they are gone assuming they are only on the corals. Luckily all of my corals are small and not attached to any large rocks so its very easy to do. I'm just hearing awful stories about these... which is why I would like to confirm what they are exactly. These are the best pics I could get.

Thanks for all of your help!

Ah I apologize. Didn’t realize I posted this in the wrong forum until just now. If mods could move it into the correct category that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I just bought a rainbow monti frag, did the ritual dipping and cleaning before putting it in the system. Take a look at what came off...
I will do another dip in a couple of days.

That is a Eubranchus doriae found in 1800's at that time called.Lov'en soon changed to the Cerata. They only get about 12mm.

They are harmless at a close look they look like Berghia Nudibranch or slugs safe
