NYOS nitrate test discrepancy

I currently use red seas nitrate pro test kit and wanted to try another nitrate test. I picked up the Nyos test and noticed something strange. Every time doing the Nyos test it showed a result of 25ppm. Which i thought is crazy since my Red Sea kit showed 2ppm.

Anyone ever experience such a large discrepancy between these two kits?

I tried the high version of the Red Sea test and it showed the lowest score. The low showing 2ppm.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately I don’t use either of those kits. I have used Red Sea in the past and found them to be accurate. Never tried Nyos. I would double check expiration dates and rule out testing errors. After that maybe have another reefer or LFS give a tie breaker 3rd reading.

Either way I would not rush to react if everything in the tank is fine. If your having an issue that would be different.
