My bottom seam split this past month or so ago, but mine was acrylic...I don't know what brand. I think it was a modded all-in-one, though.
Thankfully, mine broke when I was practically in the same room, so I didn't lose anyone.

We have brand new I'm talking 2 days before tank set up and ours busted. I was more upset about the tank, hubby, not so much. He was furious about the floor lol

Oh man, that totally sucks. I picked up one of these a few weeks ago to put in my stand, but have not picked up a 9v battery for or yet. I think I will be making a trip to the store tonight.

Thanks everyone I think I'm done for now but I'll help my girl with her first one and that's it. I have a 150 that I would like to start planning and saving money for. I will be gettin the apex controller for the 150 and I was thinking if it will work put 3 of the low profile water leak sensors under the tank between the bottom of the tank and the top of the stand (right, center, left) and also place more like that for the sumo and in random places.

Also I was thinking about possibly haveing a reserve tank filled with mixed water that way if it does leak I can pump just enough water into the tank to get everything out safely into a new tank. We won't care about water leaking where it will be because it will be in the basement which is unfinished anyway.
