paly and zoa problems

Well I have a few different palys and zoos that I just got that seem to be fine for a few days and then they all closed up. I fragged some of the colonies that I have had for a while and the frags closed up. I am not sure what is going on. My question is this. What exactly does Iodine do for zoos? I ask because if I can start to dose it and my polyps will benifit then I for sure will do it. Anyways please let me know Thanks. dustin

Iodine helps release oxygen build up in the tissue that can aggrovate them. I would not dose anything that you cannot test for.

+1 but if you want to make a dip of 1gal of water and 1 cap of iodine and dip them for 1 hour that might help.

I usually use lulgols but is there a better iodine that comes in a larger bottle?
