first lat me say I have a 300L aquarium with soft corels, At the moment I run 200-300g of nyos phos-x in a media reactor, which last me around 2 weeks before the glass gets misty and I know it needs changing.
My question is, could I just empty the entire contents of the phos-x which is around 500g.
And what effect would it have if any?

It would strip the Po4 our really really really fast.

Personally I’d do a test if you haven’t yet. Change the gfo. Test Po4. Wait a week. Test Po4. Wait till this glass gets nasty and test befor you change the gfo.
See if it’s actually depeting and how fast.

Yes I have a test kit, not a great one but it works.
Is that a fact then the more gfo you use the quicker it pulls phos instead of pulling it for longer?
Can anyone else confirm this?

Yes because less water is escaping the reactor with phosphates present if it has more gfo to contact with while in the reactor. I feel like the gfo would last a little longer, but that seems like a dangerous dance.
