OK, here are some shots I just took. Not sure if this helps or not. Here is the darkest edge of my piece, and then some pulled back shots. So, it seems it can definitely have colorless eyes, but I can certainly blame lack of light in my case. Obviously I doubt you were hiding yours in a cave, so I'm not sure
That is the best pink ******* i have ever seen, congrats on not being one of thos " constint fraggers" and letting somthing so amazing grow out, it's sad but a very rare sight.
PS where can i get a frag of pink *******, monster mash and jabawaki?

I dont' think my piece has a lighting problem. It sits in my frag rack with other chalice frags including the Craze's pink ******. Craze's pink ****** showed the green eye when I first received it and stays the same color. all other chalices shows the color they are suppose to be.
Now I'm comparing the base color between mine and yours. It seems the base color is different as well.

Yes, it is a piece of the original colony. Unfortunately my old tank was tall and narrow, so it was glued to the edge of a pillar with no where to grow. Now that I've upgraded, it will get a more sprawling patch of realestate

Looks like this one! I still think it is the PB due to the texture and coloration!
got some update pics of my Pink *******. I did a better job this time. Let me know what you all think.

I'll post another pic of it in the next few days... it's been getting brighter and actually has put on a tiny bit of skin in the last month or two so I'm happy about that...

i just read it wrong ... hey SDguy how do you let your colony grow out do you just let it form the way it wants to or do you try and get it to grow out smooth? i know at vivid they put epoxy all around it so it grows more flat and smooth just wondering how yours grows?
