Please help id feathery looking stuff.

So when I had a major alk issue I had a few corals start to rtn where the bare skeleton was this feathery look stuff started to grow there. It does not hurt the coral a few grew back over the dead spots. Just wandering what this stuff is.

I do see some Aptasia in lower right of last photo
 
Yeah just bought a copperband the is being tested first in frag tank to see if he will attack coral or not.
Your best bet would have been Kleini butterfly. Eats aptasia more aggressively but also eats all foods, peaceful, great color and wont bother coral.
 
Different strands of algae do have a way of growing on dead spots of SPS and LPS corals even though you might not have algae anywhere else. Easily removed with tweezers and allow time for the flesh to recover after water parameters stabilize. Not sure if that is the issue based on the pic. Nice sps growth in tank....looks nice otherwise! Hate Aptasia for sure......annoying creatures for sure!!
