Hello everyone, I recently picked up this zoanthid frag from my lfs the day after it came in, wild caught from Vietnam. I noticed this small black spiny looking thing and asked the lady if she knew what it was. She said no, and I thought it could be exciting so I skipped dipping for now. The day after I put it in the tank, all the spikes extended into these hair looking things as is seen in the pictures below. They all seemed to have an egg or some type of cell that was released at the end of each hair.

I have two tanks set up that I am going to be switching everything between until I am algae free, so if I need to dip all my corals next tank switch to get rid of these it doesn't concern me too much. I am very interested in different marine 'pests' and other hitchhikers and would like to know about this one. If you have any insight please share.

Thanks!

I see sponge and one possible aptasia.
