Please help (Sick Tangs)

All the fish were swimming in the bucket then they all die right after that. something went terribly wrong.

Thank you all.

It's one thing to have a fish die but it's horrible to think that I may have killed them.

I can't understand why the tangs died and the clown, lion and damsels seem to be doing fine.
The purple was showing no symptoms whatsoever but after the bath, dip and bring placed in qt. He's dead. He was not even sick.

The sailfin is fighting an excellent fight. He's still breathing very heavy, his eyes are cloudy but he's now swimming with control instead of just drifting and looking like a dead ship at sea.
He even chased down a pellet or two of food.
I have hope for him pulling through this.

If the sailfin makes it and the fish in qt continue to do good, I will try to get the sailfin into qt but skip the bath and dip.

I will slowly acclimate him to the new tank just as I would if I were adding him to the display.

I still need help though.

How can I get the cinnamon clown out there weir (overflow)?
He's been in there for well over 4 years if not 5 years.

Can you stop the return pump, let the water level go down, and use a couple of nets to carefully snag it?

That is the only silver lining in this whole thread. Five years in solitary confinement. Feeding on gruel. AMAZING.

With the drain and return pipes in there, it's too tight to get him into a net.
How about a large siphon tube and hose? Just slurp him up into a bucket. I've had this happen accidentally with small curious clowns during water changes.

The remaining fish seen to be doing ok.
Sailfin is in the display doing well.
Clown so far won't eat in qt. Im expecting that to change in time.

Does anyone know if I can remove the piping in my wier?
Does it simply pull out or do I have to unscrew?

I would like to get the clown out so I can start the fallow period.

Maybe a silly idea but wanted to share it - can you put solid objects (filled water bottles or plastic blocks if you have kids even LEGOs or something like that) on the bottom of the weir such that the clown has to come up above them - in other words can you force the clown closer to the surface and then box her in?

Marbles could also work... I realize I’m essentially telling you to do the Crow and the Pitcher...

No idea is silly. I'ts actually a good idea if you ask me.
Marbles would work as they could go around her to the bottom and fil the space.
The problem is my tank is 29 inches deep. If I could put marbles in there, it would force her up to the top but how would I get the marbles out?
That would be a lot of marbles!

I guess things happen for a reason.
I noticed this evening that my water level in the display is a tad higher than it should be. I think I HAVE to take it apart to clean it out. Im thinking is slowly getting blocked. I have algae in the wire so I might have a blockage in the pipes.

Hope do I pull it all apart?

For anyone interested...
Sailfin Tang is doing great! Color is looking good and no more visible signs of flukes. Not flashing of scratching.
Eating like a pig.
He's enjoying having the 110 gallon tank to himself.

I will try again to get it into the QT but... Not yet.
