The pic is taken with my iPhone. All I did is take out a lot of the white wash out. That pic is pretty much exactly what it looks like in my tank under T5's. bulbs consist of a wave point red wave, an ATI actinic, trulumen 480nm actinic and a Fiji purple

haha this is awesome. This is what I want to post sometimes when I see some "people" post corals for sale....dont forget to add i huge price tag for your photo skills i mean coral colors

Look I'm not some guy trying to show off something he doesn't have. I'm new to the hobby and acquired this piece from a fellow reefer in trade. The coral is very vibrant in colors and I'm happy I own a nice piece. I'm not selling it nor am I looking for a value in it. Just simply want to know what it is. The coral has awesome color and with an iPhone, it washes out all the nice colors under the actinics. No need to be mean about it. I don't "photoshop" my pics to enhance the corals to look like something they're not. Anyone that does is a fake and might as well buy dead painted corals for that sake. This coral has very vibrant greens, blues, purples and red tips.

When I got it I was told it was a multi color acro. Well yeah, to say the least lol but as it has grown out the colors have really gotten bright. For what I've seen, all I can find that looks like it is the Avenger Acropora. Either way, I love it.

I am 98% sure it is Acropora nana. Dispite all the comments about the color, using the color for identification is a poor method. This coral could be a negative photo and completely saturated with unicorns pasted in background you should still be able to guess the species ID. The way to ID is in the structure, not color.

You could call it Avengers Acro, but that would be a lie. IMO named corals have lineage to them. Falsifying a show name on a unknown coral can be misleading and you (or people that get a frag from you) could end up taking care of it wrong. The most proper name as of the moment would be " Duddits Acropora cf. nana".

I completely understand. I am still relatively new to the advanced corals. This coral was given to me in trade and its just an amazing piece. The reason for looking for the "proper" name is because I'd like to know how to care for it correctly and of course read more about it. As for fragging it, I'm unsure how to do that as well hence the reason I want to learn more about it.
