Hi guys i have my hospital tank that i just put some fish in and i have another tank (clean observation tank) under it (its a rack) and some water dripped down the wall im not sure if it made it in to the clean tank. What should i do? Should i redo the copper treatment for the 2 fish i have in the clean observation tank?
The tank on bottom has a pretty sterdy cover on it. And i did not feel any water on top of it

I think you’ll be ok but if it were me and I had to have those tanks so close together I’d not keep the clean observation tank under a active QT tank.

I highly recommend configuring a different setup for your own sanity. It's so much easier to cross contaminate than people realize.

Tanks that close together are asking for it IMO.

I will change the setup. Do u think im good for now?

What kind of fish are in the tank that was possibly contaminated?

Is the tank above at therapeutic copper level?
The qt had 2 copperband butterfly's and a potters angel fish
"Clean tank" has a powder grey tang and a royal gramma

If you have an acanthurus in there it's likely you'll know here in about 7-10 days if you crossed.

I personally would retreat, but you can observe for 14 days and make your own decision there.

I take zero risk with my DT, but it's fully stocked and many tangs and other hard to keep fish.

Whats acanthurus fish?

I would separate the qt tanks by at least 10 ft and retreat the fish.

There is no way anyone can know if cross contamination happened. (IMO)The only way to succeed in qt is to be attentive to details and mitigate all risk as much as possible. Taking chances will lead to disaster sooner or later.

On a side note. 1 of my copperbands in my qt came with lympho does that mean all fish in the tank is infected?
Yes but lympho is just a virus. No big deal it will go away on it's own.
