Potassium nitrate dosing help

Have a fuge with Chaeto assuming has some nitrates never tested after cycle had a crap led light upgraded light chaeto exploded. After 2 months noticed some sps loosing color. Texted my nitrates and they showed 0 started to does nitrates 2 weeks ago got them steady at 4ppm via Red Sea kit

Total water volume 50 gal
Tank been up for 2.5 years
Sg1.026
Mag 1500 Red Sea
Alk 9.8 after I started dosing nitrate 10.8 Hanna
Cal 480 ppm Red Sea
Dose 2 part brs via doser 50 ml daily.
Currently stoped doing water changes been 3 months since last water change. Dosing Red Sea colors.

Now that i have nitrates in my system it seems my tank is not using cal/all as much as it used to since my alk is at 10.8

Only thing that has changed is the nitrate doing anyone notice or have similar result from dosing nitrate?

Higher levels of nitrate can limit calcification. You are not all that high, though. Coralline can slow down with N at 4... and it is a huge consumer of alk.

Thanks for the reply. Might just have it to were the nitrates are just noticeable.
