I just got back my ICP test results and my iodone (.02), potassium (316) and strontium (417) levels are low. I understand the importance of iodine and am starting to dose that but what about potassium and strontium?

IMO, strontium is not useful or needed. What is the value again? 417 doesn't make sense.

Potassium is important for many biochemical processes in all organisms and should be maintained at 400 ppm (the level in 35 ppt seawater).

I personally do not accept that iodine dosing is useful (I dosed for years and stopped, and saw no difference, there's no scientifically demonstrated utility use in most organisms we keep), but it doesn't hurt to do it if you do it properly.

Thanks for the feedback. I read the potassium wrong...it's 316.66 ppm.

I'll work to raise my pottasium. I just had a local reefer recommend the Red Sea Trace Colors ABCD 4-pack, which includes potassium, iodine, iron and other trace elements. Are you a fan of that?

You should not try to raise potassium by that huge amount with a mixed additive as it will likely overdose the others.

use food grade potassium chloride. It is cheap and easy.
