I'm buying 2 Jebao power heads I planned on going with two WP-40 but I'm so added they are to powerful for my 125 gallon tank.

My question should I go with 2 WP-40 or should I do 2 WP-25?

David

I'd like to see what people say. I will be setting up a 125. I was thinking 2 two 25's or one 25 and one 40. The 25 is currently in my 75. Pushes a lot of water

I have a 120 48inch and use 1- wp40 and a tunze 6035 on the other side,(going to buy another 40 to replace this one).If yours is 6 foot long Id go with 2-40's even though you might not run @ 100% also depends on if your growing sticks or softies..

I run 1 wp-40 and 1 Hydor Koralia in my 90, its 48 wide. I have it turned down to 19 volts from 24 and its super powerful. Keep in mind it will be pretty noisy for about a week but it will be completely silent after that.

If I did it over again I would do 2 wp-25's. just my 2 cents

I have 2 wp-40 in my 180g I run on lowest setting.... you will need another regular pump to break up flow. imo 2 is to much for a 125g unless its bare bottom

I've been looking at 2 WP25's to put in my 72b as well. Where would be the best place to buy the Jebao's as no LFS around here carry them.

theres a LFS in ky that carries the Jabao pumps .. was in there last week shopping for my new build .. i had 1 WP40 on a 180 tall worked good but the cube im thinking im going to have some really bad dead spots going to pick up a 2nd 1 and cut the power back on them .. buck dont know how far you are away from frankfort ky you are

Ordered mine from fishstreet.com. Arrived in less than a week. 2 25's will blast that tank.

I just recently purchased two of the WP-40's for my 125g (60"x24"x20") though have only added one so far in conjunction with three Hydor Evo 1400's. I am hoping to get away with just the two WP-40's but will see. With a stuffed to the gills SPS tank don't think they will be to much except for what coral may be directly in front of powerhead. So far I have been very satisfied with the product, a lot of power and flow options at 1/6 the noise and price of my previous MP40. Bought my pair off E-Bay for $175.75 delivered.

Cheers, Todd

I use 4 WP-25's on a 300 gallon mixed reef and have them set to a random flow pattern and they are mounted on back wall pointing forward at different angles. I also run a closed loop on the tank with a dart and a ocean motion with 4 outlets pointing back from the front/bottom of tank. I tried 2 WP-40's on the tank but they blew the sand around too much and covered anything on the sand so went with the WP-25's and I think 2 of them on the 125 should be good. If you go with the WP-40's you can always adjust the voltage down if needed but just remember if trying to hide these from direct sight the WP-25 is smaller by about half of the WP-40.
