I'm considering adding a power conditioner like this https://www.tripplite.com/1200w-120...tion-avr-ac-surge-protection-4-outlets~LC1200
I had a Yellow Tang die from what I suspect was HLLE. I ended up taking my whole tank down, new sand, new rock, recycled and new live stock in. Now after about 2-3 weeks of having the new fish in the tank my Foxface Lo is developing whiteish circles on the black part of its face. I'm worried its the onset of HLLE. I know the causes of HLLE is sorta murky and stray voltage could be a potential issue. I rent a older home that is actually a triplex, with window AC units. I'm worried about dirty power and maybe that is causing some issues in the water. A stretch I know, but my APEX regularly shows my voltage under 110v. The above unit would keep the voltage at 120 at all times and suppress spikes, EM/radio interference, etc.
Has anyone had experience with conditioning their aquarium power like you would for a high end AV or home theater system? Any recommendations on what to use.
