Powerhead recommendation

I am in the market to replace my primary powerheads for my SPS dominated standard 125g. I am looking at getting 2 Tunze Turbelle 6105 or 2 EcoTech Vortek MP40s. What would you get and why?

One of the gyre models, probably one of the bigger models just released, i have 4 running on different systems and we use them at work I love them. But if you're deciding between those two I'd get the vorteks, only one I have any experience with.

6105's are more hide-able, more powerful, more aim-able, more cheaper (ahem), more able to lift detritus, more able to send flow across your 72" tank, more able to switch between wide and wider flow, and.....hm, maybe that's it.

If you have an APEX, I'd get the MP40's or WAV's.

the MP40 would be best choice If I can choose. Reliable is what I like about it too

I looked at those too and I have heard a lot of good things about them. With that said, there were too many negative reviews for my liking.

I traded for a pair ofTunze 6105's with a 7095 controller that had 1 years use on them.
I used them approx 6 years and sold them to a friend who has used them for 2 years now.
Still going strong.

German stuff is real good quality right, vertex, tunze, and so on

I think the Tunzes move water more evenly but I went with the mp40's because I like that there are no wires in the tank, I read reviews of the tunzes being more sensitive to crud build up and malfunctioning after a year, and I like the way the ecotechs comunicate with eachother with the available flow paterns. Well.. and the battery back up unit looks cooler.
