Pre Quarantined fish

Have you had much success with that? I'm unfamiliar with the product.

I used it on 2 fish so far. My guy that sells fish uses it and there is a YouTube on it with great success. I’m using it bc it probably does something good and it’s more of a peace of mind . I do however believe it will not kill ich that’s living in the gills of a fish. Just other known parasites .

Melev’s reef used this for a year with no QT process with zero losses. It’s legit. I use it now with prazipro and a observation period.

That's awesome! I'm setting up my first tank and I was getting super stressed over how to build a decent QT on a budget. I will definitely be stocking up on that stuff.

Ya same here - QT was stressing me out and SS makes this more dummy proof. I can still medicate in the tank if I need to, but it saves me guesswork with using copper or CP. I still am getting CP if they still get sick in QT

What would prazi catch that the 2 step wouldn't? I thought internal stuff could be treated in the DT with medicated food.

is it him? site doesn't work....
tsm corals quarantine too.

One of the reasons I'm super thankful and spoiled to live 15 minutes from TSM. I know a lot of suppliers "treat" their fish by putting low copper levels or using hyposalinity in their holding systems, but TSM does a full blown quarantine/treatment of everything that comes in. It's very refreshing to see and well worth the extra few bucks it'll cost per fish.

Flukes for one. I used the blue life safety dip on the latest fish in QT. It was only fish in QT, QT was freshly setup, after 3 weeks in qt the fish broke out with flukes. So, I know for sure the safety stop doesn't work against flukes.

Interesting. Do you think adding a freshwater dip, say before or after the two step, would have been beneficial? I've read that a FW bath can be stressful on some fish, so I wonder if they'd need to recover in a "plain" QT before the 2 step could be applied.
