My problem started when I epoxed a bunch of frags to my rock. The skimmer was skimming great then went nuts and began to over flow. So I raised it higher in the sump and got it working again. Then I changed my socks and it did the samething. I have done 2 water changes with still no luck. Plus I have it opened up all the way and it's still overflowing. Any advice of what may be going on? Thanks for your help.

Adding anything to the water will cause your skimmer to overflow (especially when you are adding a bunch of epoxy). I would lower it in the sump back to the recommended water level, lower the bubble level as much as possible, and use the skimmer cup drain hole (with a tube attached) to drain it back into the sump through a carbon/filter pad. I have done this in the past and has always worked....in a day or two it should go back to normal.

This is normal, thats why i always use super glue vs epoxy or putty. What you can do is raise the skimmer as much as you can so your getting a constant drip or little overflow and drain that into a bucket using the skimmer drain hole, then just watch as it slowly pulls out everything causing the issue, then you'll be back to normal after a few gallons normally. Consider it like a water change through your skimmer.

This is why DC skimmers are so much better imo, as you just turn them down vs having to raise it.

Thank you for your help. I will try this when I get home and c if it will help. Thank you again!
