Proper PAR for Chaeto

I started a new thread in the lighting forum about the proper PAR and spectrum for growing Chaeto. But I didn't want to miss any possible good info so I'm posting a link here as well. Thanks for tolerating a double post.

Proper PAR. Define proper.

Chaeto will grow at 50 PAR. It will grow at almost every spectrum. I suggest 5000 Kelvin.

I use 5000 k it works but intensity and period also mater

I switched from a dual 24" T5 light -w- daylight bulbs (5500k) to a Zetlight E200s. Growth rates on my chaeto have increased dramatically.

You can have all the proper par and spectrum all day long but there are other factors that need to be considered as well. Depends on how fast you want it to grow as well. What are the nutrients and flow.as well as iron.
