I stopped running gfo in my reactor so u disconnected the tube from my pump but have left it running in my sump causing a lot of surface agitation.its a little noisy(but I don't mind the sound of running water)but it has helped my ph and the tank is looking better, especially my sps,,may just leave it

Better gas exchange resulting in lower CO2 levels resulting in better ph=better results ;)

I ran a maxi jet pump in my sump for a long time to help keep the detritus from accumulating. eventually my interest in reducing the plugs behind my tank became more important to me.
