Been really busy this week helping an elderly couple who were swindled by a disreputable general contractor so I haven't had much free time to really take care of my watery kids lol

Today free from responsibility I dedicated some free time to the tank.

Reef Roids brings out the Pump in some of these guys and I love it.

Sorry for the dirty glass, next on my agenda but just stoked to have my free time back.

With my Nitrates finally under control things are looking up and I have good growth signs on a number of zoas and several montipora. Very stoked.
That point in your reef keeping where you are ahead of the curve rather than behind it is an awesome feeling.

Thank you, my buddy who is a college mathematician professor called me up and asked If I would be willing to help with a porch that this elderly couple were taken for 6k and I said yes.
When we got there and saw what was done I was angry and so sad for these folks. It turned into a huge project and we wound up rebuilding an entire porch.
The "contractor" threw plywood on the porch, laid tongue and groove, took their money and left.

We spent the better part of the week just rebuilding the entire frame. We then clad the deck in plywood and are awaiting new decking.

Some people will steal from anyone. Just sad. But I feel good having done a good deed.

This was supposed to be my week to relax LOL

I do small local jobs mostly for elderly retired teachers. I started about 12 years ago, I did my bathroom, my buddy saw it and asked If I'd help him during his Easter, fall and summer breaks, I said yes and I only work during his breaks, and to think that I'm a banker by trade lol
