I CANT BELIEVE THIS!!! i didn't want to even start complaining on here or any other site regarding this whole give away thing, and i remember i got so so worked up and annoyed at one point cuz of how long it was taking and the fact that certain people in the list were getting theirs before other people. then i realized i was whining like a baby for no reason, cuz in the end, they were doin us a favor by sending hornets out just for the cost of shipping. now, i went in with one other person and ended up paying 19 bucks which i guess is not the end of the world.
BUT i remember at one point they asked all of us, would we rather have fully colored up, or faded. meaning did we want to wait longer to get it, but have it look nice, or get it right away and do the coloring-up ourselves. i first put down i'd rather wait since at that point i already waited a while. well, when i got word from the guy i went in with that they arrived, i was surprised because it was not much longer after that question was asked to us about what kind of hornet we wanted.
so i get it in my tank, and start it low. my fiancee RIGHT AWAY said i got duped and they are not real. i said, duped or not, i didn't pay too much so lets give it some time. well, i start seeing the ring after a couple days on one of the three polyps, and then another one starts showing it. now, as a side note, they came in looking NOTHING like Kingumar's polyps, who started this thread. mine just look purple, small, and have a VERY faint ring. i then grow a fourth polyp, which isn't any diff looking than the other three. and i start moving the zoas up and up, and after maybe 4-5 weeks now, absolutely NO change.
i have not seen them on here for a while, and i haven't seen anyone talking about them, but like i said i didn't want to start complaining, because its not like i paid 50/polyp or anything. but after the colony shots were shown to us, even the faded ones looked like they had hope and looked somewhat like hornets. but at the same time, they had PPE's in the same frame shots as the hornets, so i have no clue what i actually received. i am glad i'm not the only one in this boat, but i am also very very upset that other people didn't get what was advertised whatsoever. to be honest, i almost would rather be the only one who didn't get real hornets, so at least i could say it was just one mess up. this really upsets me, only for the fact that so so so much was made of this giveaway to build up the hype of this website, and now, doesn't this compromise the integrity of the site as a whole?!?
the whole point was to make a site that registers corals, sends out certificates, and gives lineage to all LE and names corals. now, even tho it's not like i really lost much, the fact that so many people did not get real hornets just leaves bad taste in my mouth. im sorry to everyone that this happened to.
