Alright let that sit awhile, and if it that doesn't work you know what to do. Do you have any kind of filtration in that tank?....I did a 25 gallon change. I didnt want to do it all at once. The temperature is off a little.

As I said, just a HOB. The water has been crystal clear, in fact I just recently changed the filter media last week.Alright let that sit awhile, and if it that doesn't work you know what to do. Do you have any kind of filtration in that tank?....
Alright just checking, how is the water looking at this very momentAs I said, just a HOB. The water has been crystal clear, in fact I just recently changed the filter media last week.
I love when they molt the day after you get them and you think you killed them during acclimationSure will. I remember the day I found that out. It was it's whole molt and I was like oh no! Then an hour later I saw him lol

Even if your QT is 3 months old has it had a continuous bioload i.e. poop and food not just ammonia addition. What I find and what helps me prevent this if you only use the QT every so often as soon as you add an animal and begin feeding it you add nutrients for bacteria that break them down to ammonia and other byproducts, your decomposers. They will bloom, this bloom will often subside over time as they take up a more permanent residence in your filter material etc. Water changes at 1st more frequently and making sure not to leave any uneaten food and poop behind helps quite a bit, but often will still get a bloom generally more minor and subsides within a few days. When my QT is fallow I'll often still "feed" the tank and allow that material to decompose to keep that population of bacteria established in the filter and other favorable locations rather than a bloom in the water column. This also keep the biofilter active and ready for fish too. Your biggest worry is they are heterotrophs and will use oxygen as they break down the food and waste and if the bloom is large enough could cause some issue there, so keep the tank well oxygenated. Otherwise water changes and nutrient control are the only things that I've found help keep it in check until they find a resting home outside the water column.
Thanks for the advice. The thing is though, there has been more then one fish in this QT since the day I set it up. It has never gone empty. I do think the prazi and copper combo contributed to the cloudiness and yellowing of the water.
Not sure why you are posting this on my thread, but it's coraline algae. It's the red I am concerned about.
Thats fine. No worries. What you have is purple coraline algae. Its usually sign of a healthy tank according to some.I'm very sorry to break in. To be honest I am so new and have no idea how these treads work. I will just stay out. Thank you. Sorry
Thank you
