Hello!

I am about to order an Australian Stripey, which I would prefer not to dump straight into my display tank. The only issue is that the tank I have available to run a quarantine is a 20G cube, which is way under the suggested tank size for this fish. This may be a fraught question, but is housing it in that tank for 2-3 weeks going to cause more stress than good? If so I may attempt the rapid fish quarantine (https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/safety-stop-rapid-fish-quarantine-bath-blue-life-usa.html) instead.

I think you'll be fine, add some pvc pipes to make the fish feel comfortable and as Lon go as the fish isn't scared all the time and swimming into the glass, I don't see why it couldn't the housed in their for a couple of weeks for examination/ treatment. I housed a 3 inch Achilles tang In a 20 gallon tall tank before for 30 days. It's not ideal but not the end of the world :)
