Quarantine tank setup question

When running copper in a quarantine tank can you run a filter sock? Also are decorative items (ie plastic plants) ok in the tank?

Filter socks are fine with copper, as are aquarium safe plastics, lots of people use PVC pipe pieces as hiding spots. What you need to avoid is anything made out of calcium carbonate; coral, live rock, coral sand. This material tends to absorb copper, making it difficult to keep a steady dose.
