Quarantine Tank

I have a 13.5 gallon Evo tank as my main tank. I wanted to build a quarantine tank and I have this very small tank and wanted to see if this could work as a quarantine tank. It’s just a very basically tank. Has a light and a filter with a very small sponge in it. If filled with saltwater from my tank could it work. Just want people’s general thoughts and idea on quarantine tank and what they do. Don’t mind the stone and fake plant in it. That wouldn’t be in it.

Any container can function as a QT tank, so long as you can observe the animal, sterilize when needed, and it provides enough room for the animal to live comfortably during the course of the QT.
