The Lagoon 25 aquarium is very limited on skimmer choices. The space in the back is only 2.8” x 4”. I even checked our hang-on-back skimmers which I measured the inlet/outlet pipe sticks into the tank of 3 inches. It would require some modifying to get it to fit, which I don’t recommend.

The only mini internal skimmer that I saw that might fit is the Reef Octopus NS80 Nano Protein Skimmer which has a footprint of 2.4” x 4”. Most other mini skimmers have a 3 inch width. It will be a tight fit length-wise, but you may be able to wedge in this skimmer.

For now, the IM Ghost Desktop skimmer is still the best skimmer that will fully utilize the space for that aquarium and won’t stick out like a sore thumb.

Mind you, they are still pretty new to market... so we should begin to see which skimmers hobbyists have figured out will work in the days/weeks ahead.
