I have a question about dipping corals. I have had fowler tanks for years, but switched my 125 gallon over to reef, tank is stable and has 4 kessil a 360x's on it. I bought from Blue zoo aquatics today a whisker (duncan), and a umbrella (toadstool). I have read about dipping and watched several videos. I want to dip like I saw in the billy pipes video where he dipped them first in coralrx, then in bayer. My question is are there certain kinds of corals that can not tolerate these dips? Thanks

In my experience and from others I know of, some coral may slime more or less, but coral rx and bayer dips are created equal. I dont do anything different from one to another. Just try to keep dissimilar species in seperate baths/dips. This will avoid any toxin or damage to transfer between species.

I personally double dip all my corals and have had no issues. I use Bayer first for pests and then dip again in Seachem Reef Dip, which is iodine based to help with possible infections and such. Been a pretty successful combo for me.

And a duncan and a leather would be dissimilar?
