Just my tds meter and tested my water. I get around 0-1 ppm from the output of my ro/di. I was curious about this level though. I originally checked a bucket of ro/di I had sitting in my room I made yesterday.. and it tested like 180+. How is this possible? Is it from airborne particles like dust or something? Or does my bucket leech? Not too sure.. just also checked a bucket I mix salt in and it has about a 200+ ppm.. it has some salt probabaly in the mixture from the new ro/di mixed into it, but is this normal? Can water not sit around? I originally worried that my ro filters were in the wrong way or something.. but they weren't.

Your correct any particles in the air can
Then enter the water column like dust etc.

What kind of mixing container are you using?

You can't test tds after adding salt.

okay perfect. Like I said I figured the salt would have skewed the results.. I just was kinda concerned if I should make another whole setup of 20 gallons for a water change.. I guess the use of a lid is very important in this use.. Maybe I'll maybe some sort of water station that allows me to keep a lid shut, yet fill it and pump water out. Right now its just an uncovered brute container.
