My next tank I am building I am thinking about going with starboard for the bottom of my tank. Anyone have problems using this in their aquariums? More specifically did you notice the board warping or curling up over time? Did you attach it to the bottom of the tank? My plan was to use either 1/2 or 3/4 thick starboard (black) and silicone it around the sides to seal it. Will the silicone hold it? Any other thoughts or suggestions?

I wouldn't think you would have to glue it down or that it would warp...not sure why you would want it so thick...

Maybe consider cutting in to several well fitting sections to make it easier to manuver around bracing to get it in initially.

My tank has a bottom made from PVC (in place of glass) - sort of a steel blue-grey. I run barebottomed and really love it.
