Just brought home a ton of live rock and CUC for new tank. They were in transit about 26 hours. Lots of lively critters drip acclimating but tiger tail sea cuke looks DOA (just kind floating). His water didn't smell and was clear so I started a drip on him. How do I tell if he has a chance or not? I don't want him to croak and take out all the other new crawlies. Thanks!!

Good news! After an hour and a half of acclimation* he was most definitely NOT dead. I set him on a rock in the display where I can monitor his movements.

* Sorry for the OP spelling errors--DYAC!

Sea cuke was the only critter I didn't see this AM. He ran off and hid not long after being set in the display. Had good rigidity and was attached pretty firmly to the container I used to acclimate him. Had to wiggle him gently loose. He immediately latched onto the rock in main tank.

With 30 lbs. of live rock we may never know if he is still in there or not, lol.

I found him!! Assuming slowly mouthing a rock is the best sign of contentment in a sea cuke he's happy. :-)
